Hi everyone :-)
I'm back. Some of you might remember me: my alias/name hasn't changed, but
I'm using a different email address + domain.
It's been just over a year since I last posted[1], but it feels a *lot*
longer. Since then, I took my first year undergraduate exams -- presumably
the reason I left the group -- and passed them, then worked over the
summer, I then changed course (to computer science) and I've just finished
the second year of that.
What's happening to the group? I was just passing (honest!) but I
recognised lots of names (yay!) so I've decided to stay around for a
while, probably longer. There's a lot of [M] threads around though.
Do we still have chocolate, chairs and crocodiles in some configuration?
I'll help myself :-)

Absolutely. The popcorn is over there ... but OTOH you might
have some perspective to add to those threads

Good. Welcome then, we *are* kind of busy at the moment, but
the mood seems to be turning into something more
constructive. So normal service might be resumed shortly.

Why are you calling him 'shortly'?

Do people get a second chance at cc&c, and if so how long do they have to be
away to qualify? Just to be on the safe side - here, have a cat, a crocodile
(you're sure you wouldn't prefer an alligator?) and some chocolate. And
welcome back.

Alligator! Of course! I was drawn by the alliteration.
Thank you :)

I'll have to work out what they're arguing about first[1]. It does seem
the people arguing would benefit from this too...

Now I'm remembering why I like this group :-)

No -- I don't get around much ;-)

[1] What the hell is the 'whips and spiders' thing? I don't think I want
to go wherever it leads, so treat that as rhetorical.

I am not ppint, so :
The former Stacie likes whips and professes a fear of spiders.
People would tease her with spiders leading sometimes to
mention of whips.
Sometimes spiders would surface (or nearly) in other
posts, leading to teasing and (mentioning).
Rinse, repeat.
I enjoyed it, but it did become a bit much.
Ignore this post!

So I see. Does the old one work?

That is because you are not old enough. Just you wait...

See, you should have stuck with Maths. (it was Maths wasn't it?)

That would be a distinct plus point.
BTW - do you check the new domain? I have a question or two about going
to your establishment in the Modern Era if you don't mind.

The chocolate isn't what it was hours ago...

Yes, though not the addresses with 'nospam' at the front.
The new domain is for privacy, more-or-less. The other domain is for
things I don't mind being 'Googled' on, this one for everything else
(usenet, a blog when I get round to it, etc).

Can't I stay 20 forever? Damn.

*impressed*. Very impressed, in fact.
It was Maths and Computer Science. I didn't get on very well with
the Maths, and my exam results reflected this (a high first for the
computing half, a low 2.2 for the maths). There's still a decent amount of
maths in the computing course.

Not quite following, but yes, I do.

Writes, I see, a nudie videographer. Bah. Making soft porn films as a
career is equivalent to singing karaoke for a living.
